This past weekend was nothing short of victorious.
On Friday night I finally got my hands on The New York Regional Mormon Singles Halloween Dance at the Provo Library. I promise you, I have been wanting to read this book since I read the review of it in People Magazine a few years back and committed the cover art to memory. I wanted to read it waaay before I moved to the holy land and waaay before I knew the difference between a temple and a church. And clearly, so did everyone else, as I was on the waiting list for weeks to get it in my hot little hands! So far, it has been exceeding all of my wildest dreams. Next up is: Mennonite in a Little Black Dress. I am definitely on a vicarious Jesus kick.
Coming off of my library high, I picked up a baker’s dozen of insanely good cupcakes from The Sweet Tooth Fairy, thanks to my totally amazing Groupon for $20 of cupcakes for $10! Do two people really need a baker’s dozen of extra large cupcakes? The answer is a resounding YES. Yes, they do. And they did. And now there is
only one none left.
Yesterday I suggested we go south (the direction we never seem to go). Our random trip led us to Payson, where we found their historic old town district. Love me some old town in the middle of nowhere!
Nondenominational Cowboy Church??? If ever there were a time and place for me to get on board with organized religion, this just might be it!
