Although I’m not much for summer and am more than happy to see it winding down, I’ve been trying to make the most of this sweaty time of year (while keeping the AC cranking nonstop, of course).

Last weekend, John and I did a little thrifting/exploring up in the Salt Lake area. One of my favorite things to do is get out and walk around the neighborhoods, while trying to imagine what it would be like to live there. And trust me, I could easily see myself living in one of those cute little Craftsman-style homes on a tree-lined street, with a blooming garden and a porch swing. (Not that I’ve given it much thought or anything.)

I finally got to see the 9th and 9th neighborhood! Even though most of the stores were closed, I instantly fell in love with the place. Definitely need to go again soon.

The DI never fails to amaze me with their wide selection of… fashion-forward pieces. How about this sexy number? Who doesn’t love a good vest dress?

I’ve been taking as many Zumba classes as I possibly can! You guys, Zumba here is awesome! Definitely more hip hop than Latin, and that is a-okay with me. I took it a few times back home and wasn’t nearly as impressed with it as I am here. Utah knows how to get down!

And of course, after any good workout you need to refuel. Luckily, I live with the enchilada master, who is not afraid to rock pink oven mitts. What would I do without my built-in chef?
