In 19 days I will be 25 years old. Whoa.
Not quite sure how or when I got to be this old, but I plan on enjoying it the best way I know how…by making a minibook! (You know I was just looking for any reason I could come up with to make an album …wink!) It’ll be pretty much like a December Daily, in the sense that it will include photos + memorabilia from everyday of the countdown, but it might be a little less Christmas-y. Maybe. Yesterday morning I realized it was 20 days until my 25th birthday, hence the title of the album.
Here’s what I’ve got so far:
The covers are from a book I found at the DI for a buck. A little ripping and xacto-ing and you’ve got two sturdy covers! Then I busted out my trusty Dymo + made a quick bow with fabric from IKEA. Easy peasy. I really love repurposing thrifted books. Not only do you get two sturdy covers, but you get tons of book paper (you can never have enough!) and you’re giving new life to an object that may otherwise have never seen the light of day again.
On the left: cover lined with Crate Paper woodgrain paper, Paper Source label, and a Sassafras butterfly. On the right: graph paper with a little bit of typewriter action and Crate Paper number stickers.
Instagram photo with Crate Paper patterned papers, an embossed sheet of cardstock, vintage ledger paper, Sassafrass butterfly, grid Washi tape and BasicGrey numbers.
On the left: book paper, Paper Source label with a typewritten synopsis of my day, Washi + Amy Tangerine tapes. On the right: AC patterned paper and graph paper with a list of things I am “dreaming” of.
Ephemera of the day includes a menu from Noodles + Co (had lunch with one of my favorite people!), a Paper Source label, and Washi tape.
I can’t wait to get started on today’s page!
