There are two times of the year that I look forward to in my Target shopping endeavors: the holidays and back-to-school.

The holidays are an obvious choice because, quite frankly, it’s the only season that my several visits per week (I believe V-P-Dub would be the technical term) are somewhat justified. Back-to-school shopping may be a slightly less obvious cause for celebration given the fact that I haven’t actually attended school in a few years. Hmm.

Despite my lack of enrollment, the minute I see the bins of erasers and pencils and rulers and binders, I am in my element. I immediately head for the notebooks and planners, because if there is one thing in this world that I cannot resist, it’s paper.

Last month I bought two different books: the hot pink notebook is for making lists, writing down ideas, and for keeping in my bag at all times. The neon yellow planner is for writing out plans, keeping track of important dates and it always stays at home. I won’t even tell you how long I stood in that aisle, paging through each and every planner-slash-notebook debating all the pros and cons. And truth be told, I’m not 100% in love with the zeros on the cover of the planner, but the neon yellow color really won me over. As for the hot pink notebook, it was pretty much a no-brainer. Hot pink is my jam these days, as we all know.

Are you guys as obsessed with planners and notebooks as I am? Do tell! (:

So I’m not the only one. I can’t tell you how relieved I am πŸ™‚ I cannot get enough of notebooks, journals, pens, markers, pencils and other pretty stuff that leaves memories behind. When used…

Not really planners but yes, notebooks, and drawing books. I wanted to get some notebooks at Target earlier in the week…was sooo tempted, but told myself to wait until I take the kids for their back-to-school shopping. I’ll probably go crazy with them. They like paper too.

I get made fun of for my notebook obsession on a daily basis πŸ™‚ I didn’t realize how many I had until I was organizing my room. As corny as it sounds, every single one is filled with hopes, plans, lists, thoughts, feelings and dreams. I can’t seem to throw even one away.

I get made fun of my notebook obsession daily :)….nothing makes me feel more complete. It’s my favorite aisle in target and when I find the perfect one- the right paper thickness, line width, and how well it opens…I can’t wait to write down something amazing.

I had to stop myself from buying new notebooks and planners recently because I already have a day-timer and several unused notebooks. Come December all bets are off and I get to buy a new organizer!
